As part of the Annual Festival 2010, Sanskriti will be hosting a Community Cultural Program to encourage and inspire the local artists and young children who practice various forms of performing arts. We ask for a nominal participation fee just to partially cover the huge cost of renting a good facility where you will enjoy performing. Following paragraphs outline the program in detail and the rules and regulations to participate. Register early to enable us planning the event better.

1.    GroupEvents

Dance – Classical (Kathak,BharatNatyam, Odissi, Kuchipuri): Age Group: 5 - 10 years,11- 18 years, 18 and above. Minimum 5 participants are required. Maximum time limit is 8 mins.

Dance – Semi-classical,Modern, Fusionor Bollywood: Age Group:5 - 10 years, 11- 18 years, 18 and above, Minimum 5 participants are required. Maximum time limit is 8 mins.

Singing : Age Group: 5-10 years, 11- 18 years, 18 andabove.   Minimum 5 participants are required.   Group has to bring their own accompanying instruments and accompanists. Time limit: 8 mins.

Instrumental : Age Group: 5-10 years,11- 18 years, 18 and above. Minimum 5 participants are required. Group has to bring their own instruments and accompanists. Time Limit :8 mins.
2.    Solo Events

Singing ( 5 – 10years) : Classical or non-classical. Time limit : 3 mins

Singing (11 – 18 years) : classical or non-classical.Time limit : 5 mins

Singing ( 18 and above ) : classicalor non-classical. Time limit : 5 mins

Instrumental (5 – 10) : Tabla solo, Sitar, Sarod, Keyboard, Viloin, Flute. TimeLimit : 3 mins.

Instrumental (11 – 18) : Tabla solo, Sitar, Sarod, Keyboard, Viloin, Flute.Time Limit : 5mins.

Instrumental(18 andabove): Tabla solo, Sitar, Sarod, Keyboard, Viloin,Flute.Time Limit : 5 mins.

Recitation (5 – 10 years): Time limit: 3 mins

Recitation (11 – 18 years) . Timelimit : 5 mins

Recitation (18 and above) . Time limit : 5mins

Skit (5 – 10 years): Time limit: 3 mins

Skit (11 – 18 years) . Timelimit : 5 mins

Skit (18 and above) . Time limit : 5mins

General Rules for Local CulturalEvent:

All the participants have to be registered and must have a valid registration number.

For group events, minimum 5 participants are required.

All the participants must provide EMail address while registering. Registration confirmation is sent via email. If you do not receive email within 24 hours after registering, please check 'Spam' folder first before contacting the event coordinator.

A participant can register for a maximum of two different types of events. For example, participant for a Solo singing may not register for Group singing.

Participation Fee is $7 and $3 for the first and second event respectively.

Participation Fee is NOT refundable.

Participation fee will be refunded if Sanskriti cancels thee vent for any reason. Sanskriti reserves the right to cancel anyregistration at any time. Participation fee if paid will berefunded.

Participation fee (if applicable) must be paid while registering online using Google Checkout.

Registration deadline is September 24, 2010. However, if the total allocated time for this event is reached before the deadline, system will automatically reject any new registration.
