Age Groups:

• Group A: 2 to 5 years old
• Group B: 6 to 10 years old
• Group C: 11 to 15 years old

Events:

      For each of the age groups above

• Sit and Draw: This will be held on Saturday, October 15, between 11:00AM and 12:00PM. A theme for each age group will be announced on the day of the competition. Paper will be provided, participants need to bring their own colors. Time limit for the painting is one hour.
  
  
• Creative Writing: This will be held on Saturday, October 15, between 10:00AM and 10:45AM. A theme will be givenm on the day of the event and participants will be asked to write about it. Details on the rules will be posted soon. Paper will be provided. Time limit for the event is 45 minutes.
  
  
• Recitation: This will be held on Saturday, October 15, between 2:00PM and 5:00PM. Language for the recitation is limited to Hindi and Bengali. Time limit for each participant is two minutes. You are free to choose your poem.
  
  
• Solo Singing: This will be held on Saturday, October 14, between 2:00PM and 5:00PM. The songs can be either in Hindi or Bengali. Time limit for each song is three minutes. You are free to choose your song.
  
  
• Solo Dance: This will be held on Saturday, October 15, between 2:00PM and 5:00PM. Participants should bring their own cassettes or CDs for the accompanying music. A cassette/CD player will be provided. Time limit for each participant is three minutes.
  
  
• Group Dance: This will be held on Saturday, October 15, between 2:00PM and 5:00PM. This event has no age group (anyone up to age 15 years can participate). Each group should bring their own cassettes or CDs for the accompanying music. A cassette/CD player will be provided. Time limit for each troupe is five minutes.

Solo Dance and Group dance: Candidate must submit a CD containing the song(within the time limit) to the following persons:

on or before October 2 . We'll then make a master in sequence. We'll notify the candidate their sequence 2/3 days in advance.

Note: An event will be held as a competition only if at least five participants or groups register for the event. If there are less than 5 participants or groups for an event , the event will be held as a talent show.

Participation fee :
Participation fee for the individual events is $5 per participant per event . For group events, each member must pay $5 as participation fee. If the participant already holds a ticket for Saturday's program, he/she will be given a $5 discount towards the participation fee. The $5 participant fee is per per event. A participant participating in 2 events will pay $10 as registration fee.

Prizes:
First, second and third place holders for each event in each age group will be awarded a prize and a certificate. All contestants will be given participation appreciation award. The prize distribution will be on Sunday, October 16, the time will be announced soon. You must purchase at least a children program ticket of $5 to attend the event. The $5 children program ticket is valid for both Satuday and Sunday.

Venue: Gunn High School.

Time: The sit and draw competition will be held on Saturday, 15th October, morning starting at 11:00AM. All other events will be held on Saturday, 15th October, afternoon starting at 2:00PM. The results will be announced and prizes given on Sunday, 16th October.
