Sanskriti proudly announces its 5th year Durga Puja celebration on Saturday, October 12th and Sunday, October 13th, 2002 at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills. We promise both days of Puja will be full of fun and enjoyment. No membership fee is required to come and enjoy the Puja.

We regret to inform you that due to personal reasons, Mr. Sonu Nigam and his orchestra will be unable to perform on October 12, 2002 as scheduled previously. It was extremely challenging to arrange another comparable performer from India in a short period. However we were lucky enough to schedule the following stars from Bollywood and Tollywood for you. 

Saturday (Oct 12th)
1.Bhupinder Singh: King of Ghazal and Famous Hindi playback singer of the songs like 'Ho ke Majboor' and 'Dil Dhoondta Hai'. 
2.Mitali Singh: Famous Ghazal singer and wife of Bhupinder. She is also a renowned Bengali folk song singer. 
3.Dance Drama, Namami Shankaran, performed by local talents.



 
Sunday (Oct 13th)
4.Jagannath Basu and Urmimala Basu: Famous for Bengali drama and Sruti Natak 
5. Parimal Bhattacharya: Well-known singer of modern and Classical.

Reserved: $40 / person for 2 days ($30 / person for 1 day)

Children under 5, not occupying a seat is free

Food Arrangements 

Prasad is free to everyone. Lunch will be provided to the cultural program ticket holders on both days In addition, Lunch, Dinner and Snacks will be sold separately on both days by outside Vendors. Dinner on Saturday will be provided to our Patrons and Donors holding a $50 ticket at minimum 

Children’s Talent Show 

A Children’s Talent Show (Recitation, Songs, Dance) is planned for children of two age groups. Age groups are (4 – 7) yr. and (8 – 12) yr. Please contact Mili Ghosh at 408-323-9806 before October 7th to enroll your child's name in the children's Talent Show.
