Ghore Baire

Ghore Baire

The story is set in early 20th century India in the estate of the rich noble Nikhilesh and in the chaotic aftermath of Lord Curzeon's partition of Bengal into Hindu and Muslim state; the nationalist movement is trying to impose a boycott against all foreign goods. Nikhilesh lives happily with his beautiful wife Bimala until his radical revolutionist friend Sandip came into their life. A passionate and active man Sandip is a contradiction to determined and soft-spoken Nikhil. Bimala fell for Sandip's charm with words, but through turn of events, she understood that it is indeed her husband Nikhilesh who loves her, his fiduciary duty, the estate and his country.
